Hi everyone,
A few months ago I applied for a position at the Tor Project and I didn’t get the job. I didn’t even get an interview or a rejection email and I get why. I’m not living in the US and the job was specifically listed as being US-based. Being that I am a US citizen, I thought maybe there was a small chance that we could make something work, but I didn’t get that far.
Anyway, I would like to work as a volunteer in a capacity that could help me move into a paying role with an organization like the Tor Project, the EFF, or an organization that keeps privacy and internet freedom at its core. I’m open to any feedback and suggestions.
By the way, I have been volunteering unofficially for the Tor Project for a few years on StackExchange.
