Setting up new tor relay

Hey everyone. I’ve recently got VPS hosting with Ubuntu 20.04 on it (its the cloud version)(no GUI). I want to start up a new relay but I am not very teksavy. If anyone knows of a guide(s) that are beginner friendly, that would be much appreciated. :slight_smile:

UPDATE

So I followed the guide that is in Tor Project | Debian/Ubuntu but I am unable to computer the last step:

"5. Restart the service

Restart the tor daemon, so your configuration changes take effect:

systemctl restart tor@default"

When I do so, I get an error:

Job for tor@default.service failed because the control process exited with error code.

Any guidance is welcomed. :slightly_smiling_face:
