Bridge Install issue on a VPS

Hi,
I’m quite new and didn’t manage to Install a Tor bridge on my VPS (Debian). One of the /var/log/syslog line is:

Tor[12718]: Your server has not managed to confirm reachability for its ORPort(s) at 212.227.75.41:8096. Relays do not publish descriptors until their ORPort and DirPort are reachable. Please check your firewalls, ports, address, /etc/hosts file, etc.

As far as I know, I d’ont have any firewall (iptables or ufw)

How can I fix it?

Some providers also set a firewall rules from their side. Search their web interface and make sure to allow traffic for your ports.

Hi,

which os are you using? Sounds like Ubuntu to me. It could also be due to other configurations like apparmor. Also check the default policys of iptables.

Thanks a lot. I’ve just forgotten the provider’s firewall as lokodlare suggested.
